How can these replace ankle braces or KT tape?

While not a replacement for all medical ankle braces, the Joule Shock provides ankle support similar to a brace or KT tape, stabilizing your ankles to prevent rolls and sprains.

It offers targeted compression zones of 20-30 mmHg (millimeters of mercury...not the bad stuff, it is just a value to measure the squeeze on your leg) and a snug, anatomical fit for pain relief and injury prevention without restricting movement.

It's a fantastic option for dancers dealing with chronic ankle pain, recurring ankle injuries, or those who have hypermobility.

What dance shoes can these be worn with? Can I wear these with my pointe shoes, jazz shoes?

The Joule Shock can be worn with virtually any dance shoe, including jazz shoes, ballet shoes, pointe shoes, and LaDucas.

It can be worn over or inside your shoes, providing a barefoot feel with the added benefit of targeted compression and support that no other dance shoe or sock provides.

Some dancers even use the Joule Shock as ballet socks for warmups or as a more supportive option or we see them as a staple for a professional ballerina's shoes with arch support. Also loved for the top of the arch of a high arch in pointe shoes.

It helps to be a compression sock for women or men who are suffering from any inflammation-related pain and want to dance but find their dance shoes cause pain and lack support.

Wearing compression socks is prohibitive in dance shoes, and adding an orthotic is also restrictive to the foot movement. The Joule can be seamlessly added because there is no bulk, just light and mighty support that easily camouflages with ballet tights or leggings.
